Strong

Solid poured concrete walls are high-impact resistant and provide superior strength compared to concrete block and wood-framed walls. They better endure hurricanes and other storms, making our concrete walls the preferred choice for homes in coastal areas or areas prone to tornadoes. Poured walls have the ultimate flexural and compressive strength over concrete blocks, providing better horizontal strength and vertical support for building loads. In addition, our walls actually get stronger as they age for up to 100 years!

Efficient

Concrete walls are the best option for an energy-efficient and quiet home. The thermal mass of a solid concrete wall creates a more energy-efficient home, which reduces energy needs and heating and cooling costs. The density also dampens the effects of sound waves coming from outside or inside your home, which is particularly important for high-traffic areas. Poured concrete walls give your home a solid feel, reducing energy costs and noise from traffic, mechanical equipment, and even slamming doors!

Resistant

Concrete walls offer the greatest resistance to pests, water, and fire threats. Our walls are less porous and almost twice the density of a hollow core block wall, weighing approximately fifty pounds more per cubic foot. As a result, they are essentially impervious to the passage of pests, water, or flames.

Pest Resistant – Since concrete is not cellulose/wood-based, insects and larger vermin do not eat the material. The density of concrete walls also makes it far more difficult for pests to penetrate.
Water Resistant – The density of concrete walls makes it more difficult for water to penetrate. Additionally, concrete does not rot or contribute to mold growth because it is not an organic material.
Fire Resistant – With our walls, your entire structure is built with rated firewalls, exceeding a 3-hour fire rating with our standard 6” wall. The temperatures required for concrete to decompose are far higher than any that occur in a common house fire.
